Radio Redux is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. H. Royce Saltzman, 94, on Monday, April 3, 2023, in Eugene. While best-known as the Oregon Bach Festival’s co-founder, long-time executive director, and board member, he was also an enthusiastic Radio Redux cheerleader, a consultant and a board member. “He was a great man, a gentle giant, a good friend. We owe him so much, and are proud to honor his legacy going forward,” said Radio Redux founder Fred Crafts. “The worldwide arts community will miss him, and Radio Redux in particular will. We lost our best friend.” A memorial service will be held during the 2023 Oregon Bach Festival—about 2 p.m. July 6 in the Silva Concert Hall at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene.
